WLAN on my iBook

Thanks to the folks who reverse-engineered the specs of the AirportExtreme WLAN card in my iBook and thanks to the fine folks who actually wrote the driver I finally can connect to the internet by WLAN. It took me quite a while to find the correct firmware, though. fwcutter worked fine with wl.o (wl_apsta.o), that contains the firmware version 3.130.20.0. In Ubuntu make installfw doesn’t work, though, because Ubuntu stores its firmware files in /lib/hotplug/firmware, not in /lib/firmware. After copying the firmware files to the right position and installing the modules everything went just fine. Thanks to Keywan who gave me the right tip without noticing (“I just copied you the firmware files from /lib/hotplug/firmware.”)!
